Exclusive “Roof Saver” Design for Ford Transit Vans

Our new and exclusive “Roof Saver” Design Rack mounts directly to the OEM attachment points on the roof of your Ford Transit without drilling. This rack is not compatible with Extended WB models.

We have reconfigured our Ultimate two- and three-cross-support Aluminum Ladder Racks so they mount directly to the factory attachment points provided by Ford. Because the Ford Transit does not have traditional van rain gutters, these OEM mounting points are required for proper installation.

Designed to Protect the Van Roof

Using the OEM attachment points positions the rear cross support nearly 24 inches from the end of the roof, which can expose the roof to possible damage while loading or unloading ladders and other long cargo.

To address this, we developed our exclusive Roof Saver Extension, which extends over the rear edge of the roof and creates a protective loading surface between the cargo and the vehicle.

Easy One-Person Loading and Unloading

The all-aluminum Roof Saver Extension includes:

• A 2" x .125 wall aluminum roller bar
• High-density, nonmetallic roller bearings
• A smooth loading surface for long ladders and cargo

Loads can simply be leaned against the roller, lifted from one end, and rolled onto the rack, making loading and unloading easier for one person.

Additional Rack Features

• Each crossbar measures 55 inches wide
• Adjustable ladder stops are supplied for each cross support
• Available in a white powder coat finish

Aluminum Airfoil for Reduced Vibration

Installing a ladder rack can occasionally change a van’s aerodynamics and cause vibration. This can occur with any ladder rack and cannot always be predicted. To help reduce or eliminate this vibration, an aluminum airfoil is included with the rack.
