Who is eligible for tax exemption?
We offer tax-exempt purchasing for qualified organizations, including non-profits, government entities, and educational institutions. To qualify, you must have a registered customer account and provide a valid tax exemption certificate.
Do I need a registered account to apply?
Yes. You must be logged into your customer account to upload documents and manage your tax status. Guest checkout is not supported for tax-exempt transactions.
How do I apply for tax-exempt status?
Applying is a simple one-time process. Please follow these steps:
- Log In: Sign in to your customer account.
- Navigate: Go to the "Tax Exemption" tab in your account dashboard.
- Upload: Upload a clear PDF or image copy of your valid Tax Exemption Certificate.
- Details: Select your Organization Type and the State(if applicable) where the exemption applies.
- Submit: Click the submit button to send your request to our team for verification.
What document formats are accepted?
We accept PDF, JPG, and PNG files. Please ensure the file is legible and clearly shows the expiration date and exemption number.
Is the tax exemption immediate?
No. Because we strictly comply with state tax laws, every submission is manually reviewed by our compliance team. You will be charged tax until your application is officially approved.
How long does verification take?
We strive to review all requests within 72 business hours. Submissions made on weekends or holidays will be reviewed on the next business day.
How will I know if I am approved?
You will receive an email notification regarding the status of your application.
- Approved: You can immediately begin placing tax-free orders.
- Declined: The email will explain why the certificate was rejected (e.g., expired, blurry, or incorrect state) so you can correct and resubmit.
How do I use my exemption once approved?
Once you receive your approval email, simply log in and shop as usual. The system will automatically recognize your status, and sales tax will be removed from your cart at checkout.
Can I get a refund on tax paid for previous orders?
Our system applies exemptions to future orders only starting from the date of approval.
My certificate is expiring. What should I do?
Our system automatically tracks the expiration dates of all file submissions. You will receive an email notification from us before your current certificate expires. To ensure your orders remain tax-free, please log in and upload your renewed certificate as soon as you receive the notification. Note: The new certificate must also be validated by our team, so we recommend uploading it before the current one expires to avoid any gap in your exemption status.
